Gellar played Buffy Summers, a high school student who also happened to be the “chosen one” destined to battle vampires and other supernatural nasties. The show’s goofy appeal made it a hit, and it aired from 1997-2003. Gellar was educated at the Professional Children’s School, and her classmates included notorious party-girl Tara Reid and Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin.
